The Hawaii Army National Guard is looking to fill the GIS Specialist position,
who is responsible for the system development, client coordination and data
acquisition and management of the GIS program for Army Guard Facility Management
and Environmental Office in 15 locations statewide. Successful applicant must
have a Bachelor's degree in geography, geosciences, environmental sciences,
computer science, and related fields; recent experience in the use of ArcGIS
for environmental conservation and compliance and facility management and
master planning; and knowledge of state, army and federal regulations,
policies and standards that apply to installation geospatial information and
services. Technical skills in related technologies, such as GPS/GNSS,
digital image processing, relational databases, surveying and web-based and
mobile application development will be strongly considered. This is a
federally-reimbursed state-exempt position.
