As an IT Specialist (INFOSEC), you will perform the following duties:

  • Provide leadership for PIRO's DevSecOps and geographical information systems (GIS) application design, development, and maintenance, utilizing advanced spatial analysis techniques, geospatial data systems, extraction tools, and web-based interactive mapping applications (i.e. ARC/INFO, ArcView, ArcGIS, Visual Basic, HTML, Oracle Map) to solve mapping problems.
  • Serve as a system/business analyst for Information Technology (IT) projects to assist in the automation of business needs in the development of systems and as a GIS liaison, working with developers, leadership, and infrastructure teams and implementing GIS guidance, policy resources, planning, knowledge, and providing technical consulting on GIS initiatives.
  • Review, identify, and document gaps at the application and system level, write required documentation, and ensure that all support provided is following established Cyber Security guidelines and IT applications and that systems are compliant with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).
  • Provide advice on all matters of IT security to safeguard sensitive information, diagnose and assess risks, apply security controls to applications and systems, and assist in building Agile Strategy and Practice to integrate cybersecurity into the organization and implement innovation.
  • Provide build/release management, secure SDLC/DevSecOps practices such as automating security processes in CI/CD pipeline and general automation, implement and support cloud solutions and processes leveraged by many applications hosted in the PIRO, and implement strategic plans, policies, and instructions related to cyber security and offensive cyber operations.
