The Hawai'i Geographic Information Coordinating Council (HIGICC) is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization consisting of members of Hawai'i's geospatial community. Our goal is to provide coordination of geospatial activities among a wide range of users in order to avoid duplication of effort, promote data sharing, and maintain data standards throughout the state.

    GIS Day & the Traveling Map
    November 2013

    This GIS Day was celebrated on Maui. It featured GIS professionals and school students and included the National Geographic Huge Traveling Map. Thanks to Maui's Women in Technology for making the arrangements and facilitating the event. The map was shipped throughout the state and went to many schools.

    Mapping and Visualizing Sea Level Rise and Coastal Flooding Impacts

     Web presentation; September 17 at 10AM-11AM

    The Sea Level Rise and Coastal Flooding Impacts Viewer is a national product produced by the NOAA Coastal Services Center and hosted on the Digital Coast website. The viewer serves as a helpful teaching and planning tool that lets users visualize potential impacts from sea level rise.
