    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Provide GIS support to project team members
    • Create and modify map documents using Esri ArcGIS software
    • Create, organize, and modify geospatial data
    • Perform geospatial analyses

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, environmental science, engineering, or similar degree from an accredited college or university
    • 2+ years of experience working with Esri products version 10.x or higher
    • Demonstrate knowledge of core concepts in GIS and cartography
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data from a variety of sources (.gdb, .shp, .kmz, .dwg, etc)
    • Strong skills in data management, particularly with geodatabases
    • Design/create effective maps, report figures, presentation graphics, etc that communicate a message to the client.
    • Ability to prioritize and pivot effectively to various GIS tasks to meet project demand
    • Capable of working independently or in a team environment
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Proficient in Google Earth
    • Experience with Microsoft Office 2013 or later
    • Excellent personable, communication, and customer service skills

    This is a City & County of Honolulu full-time permanent position is located in the Department of Transportation Services (DTS) and serves as the Chief of the Performance and Business Analysis Branch.     Responsibilities:

We will provide you with in-house training, as well as training direct from the manufacturer.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate’s Degree, Technical School Certificate or equivalent experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Prefer 2 or more years of experience as a service technician working on high-tech equipment but will train the right person.
    • Knowledge and experience of electronic circuits and systems
    • Basic computer skills with basic knowledge of MS products

    GIS Administrator/Analyst

    CACI International, Inc. is seeking an experienced GIS Analyst with a broad skillset who is motivated to help manage and support a Geographic Information System (GIS) program called “GeoBase” at military installations throughout the Pacific. The position will be a part of a headquarters team and GIS program management office (PMO) whose primary duties are implementing GIS program initiatives and supporting a distributed team who implements the policies and direction from the PMO using primarily remote assistance and occasional travel.  Primary duties include leading GIS initiatives, troubleshooting, ArcGIS Server configuration, Oracle Database support, data quality evaluation, data development, and requirements gathering. The position will be with a leadership organization and support others with implementing program directives. There is also significant potential to utilize database (Oracle) and advanced ArcGIS skills in support of spatial data and web mapping applications. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with GIS, be self-motivated and capable of carrying out tasks from start to finish, able to proactively communicate with customers and company co-workers, and takes pride in their work.  Additionally, the position will contribute to managing ArcGIS Server websites, and Oracle geodatabases.

    You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

    • Five years of experience with the use and administration of Esri’s ArcGIS Desktop and Server solutions. (ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server, ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox).
    • Experience leveraging the ArcGIS built-in data quality control and assurance (QA/QC) tools (topology, Data Reviewer).
    • Experience with GIS data development and integrating enterprise geospatial applications into new and existing business processes.
    • Familiarity with web mapping applications using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
    • Familiarity with server-side software to include Internet Information Server (IIS), and Oracle
    • Experience troubleshooting desktop, web, database, server problems
    • Experience providing formal and informal training
    • Ability to produce technical documentation.
    • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated and an ability to work with minimal supervision.

    • Desire to work and live in Hawaii.

    These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:  

    • M.S. degree in a scientific, technical, or analytical discipline.
    • Knowledge of Spatial Data Standards for Facilities Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE)
    • Experience with the use and administration of Windows based servers.
    • Programming and scripting experience (Python, ArcObjects, PL/SQL).
    • Willingness to assist with System Administration and Certification & Accreditation activities.
    • Previous experience supporting the Air Force or other military organization.
    • Experience with the US Air Force GeoBase Program.

The City Departments that employ interns are the Airport Commission (SFO), Department of Building Inspection (DBI), Department of Technology (DT), Municipal Transportation Agency (MTA), Port of San Francisco (Port), San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC), Public Works, and Recreation and Park Department (RPD). Interns will gain on-the-job experience under the guidance of experienced professional engineers, architects, planners and surveyors. Interns will participate in various activities in the respective City Departments.

    GIS Technician—Position Description

    Under the direction of a Project Manager and a Project Director, the GIS Technician is responsible for providing GIS support to the various components of cultural resource management conducted by CSH.

    The position involves:

    • Georeferencing of historic maps and aerial photographs, with overlays of various GIS data layers to support historic background research
    • Preparation of GPS equipment for archaeological field crews.  Post-processing of field-collected GPS data and GIS map production
    • Creation/maintenance of cultural resources GIS data, including digitizing hard-copy data sources and entry of tabular data
    • Production of high-quality maps for inclusion in technical reports for submission to the State Historic Preservation or other agencies for review and presentation to project-related stakeholders
    • Incorporating client-provided architectural/engineering plans and data (typically in CAD format) for GIS analyses
    • Talking the company into supporting HIGICC with an organizational membership*
